This is such a classic piece. The center is early 1950s Marvella. Marvella at the time was a high end costume jewelry company that produced abstract designs in silver with gold overlay. This is a perfect example. The lovely curves on this circlet are reminiscent of waves on the ocean, and house a sea green “Peking” or molded glass center. “Peking” glass was the term used for high end molded glass in jade colors. This is set with actual jade beads, 14mm in diameter and hand knotted. The jade is a softer toned green perfectly accented the hue of the center stone. 18” jade beads, 2” centerpiece.
