Star Sapphire Ring

This is a very unusual Star Sapphire circa 1950s with a marked sterling silver Art Deco setting. Art Deco setting is stunningly detailed. Star Sapphires are naturally occurring stones caused by occlusions which appear to float on the surface of the stone. The angle and position of the star floats as the gem moves in the light. Set with three tiny diamonds on one side, and two diamonds and one emerald on the other. (Originally, three diamonds on either side but one diamond was lost and replaced by an emerald from another piece of the owners jewelry)
