This stunning statement necklace is as gorgeous as it is rare. Created by Marcel Boucher in the late 1940s this is a masterpiece. Boucher originally designed for Cartier, creating molds and designing intricate pieces prior to the stock market crash. In the early 1930s he opened his own house using silver and gold, along with molded glass for gemstones that weren’t as accessible during the period. He became even more innovative as a designer with his creations.
this piece is an example of his use of molded glass to create the calla lily, set with the fabulously three dimensional, leaf and stem.
